A Photo History
of 2005
How it all started .....
short of something to do one Saturday morning in March 2004 we went over
to Anglia Indoor Karting in Ipswich. Kasia loved it so much we
decided to hold here 8th Birthday Party there, and later joined the cadet
club.

In the Summer of 2004 we
visited Swaffham Karting, an outdoor corporate kart circuit. Having
signed up for Kasia's first drive on an outdoor track, the heavens
promptly opened, thunder, lighting and torrential rain made for an
exciting session.. .....Why is it that British Kart tracks are a magnet
for rain ?
From then on we decided to concentrate our efforts on outdoor karting, initially searching for a kart for sale through the "Market Place" pages on the Karting.co.uk web site. Kasia's first kart, an Arrow AX6, was bought in Oct 2004 following a test drive at Rye House, she was hooked. Thereafter we spent many days testing at Wildtracks, a non-MSA track near Newmarket as pictured. |

By 2005 Wildtracks had a
race series up and running with an excellent shop and technical
support being provided by Pete, Mark and Dave Rowe (who sadly are no
longer involved with the circuit)
Kasia and her Dad started to learn the driving, set-up and mechanical skills needed in this cadet formula. Pictured Kasia at Wildtracks running kart no. 211 (on other occasions and at other tracks Kasia ran as kart 21 or 23 too)

During 2005 Kasia raced
in the non-MSA championships at Wildtracks and Red Lodge "Club
2000". Podium finishes came initially at Wildtracks and towards the
end of 2005 at Red Lodge too.
Finishing fourth in the championship her efforts were rewarded with a lovely trophy from Wildtracks as the "most improved driver" at the club. The Red Lodge "Club 2000" championship, went right down to the wire Kasia finishing a very commendable third.

In May 2005 Kasia undertook
her ARKS test, both a written and on track race craft driving test which
she passed with flying colours. With her Novice National B license
now under her belt it was off to the MSA tracks at Kimbolton and Beccles
Novice trophies were a just reward for her efforts, and Kasia managed to collect the requisite 5 MSA signatures for an upgrade to a full National A license by the end of the year. During the year we switched chassis, saying a fond farewell to the Arrow and buying a nearly new Zip Blade as a reward for continued progress. With ever increasing competition as she moved into the MSA arena Kasia and her Dad were pleased to have the help and support of Sean Pitts (from Pitts Racing) who prepares and maintains our Comer W60 race engines. |

All in all 2005 was a
really great year with Kasia and her family pleased with her continued
improvement and enjoyment of the sport
