I know the time is right

Over the past five years I have really enjoyed my time racing in the Comer cadet class, both nationally and at club level. Ever since I was eight years old, I knew that karting was for me, however, I never thought I would get to Super 1, which I have now achieved.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped me get this far, including my engine builder: Sean Pitts, and what a time we’ve had together during the Super 1 meetings. I would also like to thank Martin James (AKA: Pengwin racing, yes that's the way its' spelt !) Martin has been a great help teaching me the lines and race craft, and keeping me smiling, through the ups and downs of racing.

Thank's too for my family who have been at every race supporting me no matter what the weather; snow, rain or sunshine but they’ve been great. Especially my Dad who introduced me to karting at a very young age, and saw the raw talent for speed bubbling inside me.

Special thanks go to Haydon Wilding and Cecil and Larter Saab for sponsoring our fees and costs for the Whilton Mill Champion over the last 2 years.

Now the season is over, I have reflected on it and where I want to go in future, so after much thought I've decided to draw a line under my karting career, simply because I feel the time is right. Yes I could move to Mini Max, Junior TKM of KF3, however, I want to move in bigger steps so that over the next few years I hope to experience several different forms of car racing.

Finally, my family and I will continue to stay in touch with karting hoping to watch a few of the key meetings each year, and with my brother George now 6 years old we may be back in the fold sooner than we think !
